A MOMENT IN THE TRUNK

David noticed how uneasy Sylvia looked so he grabbed her by the hand and began leading her toward the house.

They made their way to his chamber and after slamming the door behind them, David turned to her with his arms folded across his chest.

“Speak!”

Sylvia sighed and cleared her throat loudly. “I think she's a spy.”

David arched a brow.

Sylvia slapped her thighs and began to pace. “I know you won't believe me. Who is going to believe me anyway I trust my instincts and I know what I heard but forget it. It’s useless saying this and….

She was still speaking when she felt David’s arms wrapped around her waist. Sylvia stopped to wonder when David had gone behind her. She smiled.

“I believe you!” David whispered into her left ear.

Sylvia felt a sense of calmness envelop her. David slowly pulled his hands around her waist and placed them on her shoulders. She turned around to face him.

“You were saying something about Giselle,” he said looking straight into her eyes.
