Chapter One Hundred & Three

Abigail was the only other person I told of my impromptu mission and she looked at me with the softest expression I had ever seen on her. "May the gods be with you. May the Moon light your steps and bring you and your men back to us safely."

I nodded in response and we discussed canceling all the plans and outings I had for that month. Abigail further declared she would take over my duties for the event tomorrow and declare me indisposed in case I didn't make it back home.
