Chapter One Hundred & Two

Wounded soldiers were taken to the pack hospital located between Sector Two and Sector One. There were about a dozen and half of them lying on beds in a big room. Some were already fully healed while some still needed to stay overnight.

After giving them each a brief visit and conversing with their nurses, I was assured that they would all be fully healed and ready for service in no time.

I noticed General Cain wasn't among the wounded and I made my notice known to Roman beside me. He decided to go ask one of the doctors while I stayed with the men, making small talk and helping the nurses administer their herbs.

After that, I decided a three-day leave would be best for them but to my surprise, they all politely declined.

"We'll rather be in service than on standby, my Queen." One of them, a dark skinned soldier, said and all the other men nodded in agreement.
