Chapter One Hundred and One

~ Zora

Roman did as he promised. We started with some warm-up exercises, before he wore boxing gloves for me and got me into a ring.

The trick there was that I had to build a diamond wall around my feelings and emotions while jabbing and ducking.

It was one of the most difficult things I had to do in my life because every single time, it was either my mental shield went down or I didn't duck on time and got smacked in the face.

Thankfully, Roman wasn't even using his strength, otherwise I would have been bruised. After that we did some running, while I still had to maintain my shield.

After we ran a few miles and it was time to rest, I leaned against a tree and bent over on my knees terribly out of breath. I wasn't surprised to see Roman watching me with hardly a sweat on his skin.

"How the hell are you not tired or something?"

"Because I've had years of experience doing this."

Panting, I pushed to stay upright. "How long would it take for me to get strong?"
