Chapter 12: Jordan

I can't believe she is gone.  They take her to the police department and process her.  "Where is mom?"  Kelly and Jon both ask as they look at me confused.

Not bearing to see their faces, I stare at the cold wood floor and answer, "It was a mistake, but they took her to the police station.  They think she has had something to do with your dad getting beat up."

In shock, they both glance at each other with worried looks and sit down on the couch quietly.  Connie tries to comfort them by making them hot cocoa, while I make a few phone calls.  After talking to my attorney, I arrange for a visit to the police station to talk to her.  Once I arrive, I realize that it was a mistake though, because George after getting out of the hospital, headed straight to the station.
