"So what now? Are you just going to stay here and let yourself drown in that sh*t liquor of humans? " Lucas stated.

I chuckled bitterly. I wish to get drunk, but Lucas’ bane is disgusting just by thinking about it. This seems to calm my nerves, so this will be fine.

"Are you not going to go back to your place?"

Right. I’ve left the penthouse for good for a month now. Which means it’s been a month now since Athena left me. A month later, when Athena decided to leave me and prove to me that she stayed in our set up for nothing but money and sex.

I drank the whole bottle of liquor. If only this liquid could kill me, then I’d hit the jackpot. But no, I know what fate I need to deal with. By now, I know that no death could end my misery without getting Athena involved.

But it still hurts me. I feel like I’m dead inside already. Her leaving me and hearing from her own mouth that she didn’t feel anything for me even the slightest bit. I tried, I tried hard to make her stay.
