The Painful and Heartless Goodbye

His place was so dark. No noise could be heard as soon as I arrived at his place. Dimmed lights, deafening silence, and the loud beating of my heart- that reigned in his whole penthouse.

I silently walked inside to look for him. I scanned the whole living area and didn’t see any shadows of him. My chest got heavier. Why am I still wondering? Of course he’s not here. I should know where he is already.

I’m not mistaken. When I got to the hallway, I saw the door to his room half open. A dim light was coming out of it. I pushed it slowly. My eyes traveled to the man that was seated on the single couch, and behind him was the view of the city.

He’s half naked. A white towel was covering his lower body. His legs are spread apart while both of his arms are resting on his side. He’s looking like a ruthless man, very different from the man I know.
