"Enough already. I'm disappointed, Sophie. What woman? She isn't my woman. Don't use that word again," he said sternly.

I said nothing. If she wasn't your woman then what is she to you? I couldn't help but think. Although I was dying to ask I couldn't muster up the courage. I wasn't entitled to. I had no right, whatsoever to be nosy in matters pertaining to his personal life and space.

"I won't. I apologize. I think I crossed the line, again." I said softly, keeping my shoulders high.

He nodded. "It's only fair I forgive you. Where's my share of the meal let me have it and make amends. What do you say?" he asked, shamelessly.

"That's unlikely since It's no more. I told ya. I fed it to the guards and had some. There's nothing left of it to give to you. Your loss." I said. However, it wasn't entirely true since I lost my appetite.

He cocked his head to the side, crossing his arms. "Is that so? You're so considerate," he said sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes at him, looking away.
