Nathan's gaze

Nathan’s POV

I stepped into the pack’s meeting side by side with Derek Miller and Charlotte, knowing this would cause a stir as they were neither wolves nor members of the council.

“King Nathan! What is the meaning of this?” Elder Lucas demanded, as we barely made our way in, his eyes at the sight of the two outsiders.

The people began to murmur at this sight!

I raised a hand to silence the room. “As you well know, Derek Miller isn’t just any man. Having him on our side will serve a greater purpose for our plan, and Charlotte here... deserves to be here!”

Charlotte looked at me in disbelief. She had not wanted to come along because she wasn’t a member of the pack, but I believe she should be. I have my reasons, but they can’t be made known to anyone.

Elder Scott rose from his seat, with his tone sharp. “And why exactly does she deserve to be here, Nathan? We have strict protocols for a reason.”

I took a deep breath, trying to remain calm, “Charlotte has unique insights a
