Bella’s POV

"What is wrong with her?" Derek’s voice, filled with worry, lamented. I tried to speak, but my tongue felt jammed and glued to the roof of my mouth.

I couldn't speak, but I could hear everything loud and clear.

I looked down at my chest, thinking the loud thumping was from my heart, but it wasn't. There were numerous heartbeats and murmurs. Everyone spoke at once, and I could hear it all.

What I found strange was how loudly I could hear their heartbeats. What is going on with me?

My body moved on its own, twisting and turning in strange directions.
