Reconciliation

“Mom?” she managed to utter in disbelief with a trembling voice. “Is that really you, Mom?”

Charlotte’s mind was clouded. That was definitely Sophie, her mom whom she thought had died years ago, standing right here in front of her. How could that be? What happened? She was so confused. This can't be real.

Immediately, Sophie transformed into a human and looked at Charlotte. Charlotte gasped in shock. This wasn’t happening. Her mom was standing right in front of her, her precious mom. “No!” she muttered, shaking her head in disbelief. "But how… How are you here?" she muttered with trembling lips.

Charlotte’s legs wobbled at the confirmation of the sight in front of her. She fell to her knees and felt like collapsing due to shock.

Sophie’s softened gaze turned to her daughter. “Hello, Charlotte. It’s been so long!”

Nathan stood in bewilderment. It was just unbelievable for him too. He thought she was dead. He mourned her death, and she... Is he being delusional?
