Chapter 53 - Hope is lost

Maximus' pov:

When Adelina told me to watch out, I pushed her a little and turned towards him. Drako also appeared on the surface. He was furious and thirsty for blood. I must admit that he is unbeatable. He acts so accurately and quickly that no worthy opponent can match him. My nails had already elongated and I quickly sank them into Nicolas' body. In the blink of an eye I was holding Nicolas' still beating heart in my hand. Nicolas' body fell hard on the ground.
