Chapter 48 - The skirmishes

Maximus’ pov:

The skirmishes arrived and even though I was devastated by Adelina's behavior I managed to train a lot during this time. I have to admit I'm in pretty good shape, better than ever I would say. I let Chris take charge of the pack and was accompanied by Dimitri and a few warriors. Many Alphas joined in, aspiring to become the new King of all werewolves. I knew the competition would be tough, but I was confident in the abilities of my wolf and mine.

Skirmishes consisted of three rounds. The first round was all about your knowledge of the kingdom over history, finances, packs, etc. The second involved contests of skill and the third was the battles between the contenders for the King's throne.
