All I could remember was that I'd been about to reach out for Zeke. He'd been at my front, pouring his powers to Kai. But everything changed the next second.

I'd lost my consciousness.

And now, I woke up in a completely different place.

I clutched the edge of the flowery duvet, sniffing for the familiar scent of Xavier. 'Cause I was sure as hell that he was behind all this.

I took a defensive stance when the door opened. I peered over, expecting to see Xavier walk in with that annoying smirk of his, that irritated me to no end.

However, a woman with a kindly face walked in. Her dress flowed down to her ankle, and she walked with grace and poise.

“Who are you?” I managed to ask.

She smiled, and I had to admit that this woman was beautiful. She should be around the age of forty.

“It's good to see that you're alive. We thought you were dead.” She said instead.

I frowned. “Dead? Why?”

“I'm not sure you're ready for that conversation, dear.”
