Zeke wasn't in the room when I woke up. I sat up with a groan, and stretched my limbs. My body felt sore, in a good way of course.

My phone lit up on the bedside table, and I reached for it.

“Hey, girl.” I murmured.

“Still alive?” Nessa asked, and I chuckled.

It was great that I was still alive. She might have uttered it as a joke, but I knew what I went through in the past few hours.

“I am,” I laughed. “I'm at Zeke's.” I added.

“You guys made up?” She didn't sound surprised. Trust Nessa with her matchmaking skills that didn't apply to her own self.

“Obviously,” I yawned and got off the bed, and headed towards the bathroom.

“Let's meet up when we can. Your boyfriend has enjoyed your company more than I have in years.” She grumbled.

I couldn't resist laughing. “Maybe if you find a man, you wouldn't need my company so much.” I teased.

I could imagine her gagging face.

“Nah, I'm not ready for any commitment of any sort. I'll call you later, an
