Mt Glacier was colder than usual, and I knew the Circle had purposefully done it so Mirah would freeze to death. Unfortunately for them, I came prepared.

“Put this on,” I handed an amulet to Mirah whose face was already turning red from the cold.

“Bloody fuckers,” I heard Natasha say. She was standing close to Qyle who was observing the surroundings.

“They've placed traps around.” He scoffed, and I took a closer look around.

True enough, hidden at strategic places were vampires bane, sprinkled on the white ground. It wasn't noticeable, and blended well into the icy ground.

“Fuckers,” I said. If they thought some bluish substance was going to stop us from achieving our goals, they probably had no idea how powerful I was.
