Chapter 36 - Part 1

Caleb POV:

I shifted in my seat as I counted the minutes till we could touch down again. The flight from Arizona to Los Angeles was short but I still hated every second of it. Something about being thousands of feet up in the air in a two-hundred-tonne metal machine did not sit right with me. We experienced some turbulence and I clutched even tighter to my seat.

Bree on the other hand was right at home. She had her sleeping mask on and decided to take a little nap. I had tried to do the same but despite how comfortable the first-class seats were, I could not do it.

Victoria’s face crossed my mind and I became even more frustrated. She was the most infuriating person that I knew. I hated how easily she had gotten under my skin. I last saw her when she came to finish unpacking the last batch of her mother’s stuff. I contemplated helping her out but I had a feeling that I was the last person that she wanted to see so I stayed out of her way.
