Chapter 52

MAEVE’S POV

I woke up after having a bad dream, only to see that Alpha Zane wasn’t in bed and it was still too early for anyone to possibly have gotten out of bed by now.

It was 5:30 am for crying out loud.

Or did Alpha Zane and the others not get any sleep at all?

But I was sure that he slept in this room last night and the space in front of me was still warm.

The dream I had was horrible and in the dream, the message given to Maggie by the moon goddess to deliver to us wasn’t in our favor and I watched Alpha Zane die in my arms.

Only the thought of the dream made my heart begin to race with fear and when I turned to face the direction of the door, so I could get down from bed, I flinched when I saw Patricia looking at me with a scowl.

Gosh, she really scared the living daylight out of me because I didn’t expect to see her this early in my room.
