Chapter 89

Aria's POV...

 

I gasped at the doctor's announcement. "W.... what do you mean?" I stuttered. My eyes glanced back at Kyle. Beads of sweat had gathered on his forehead; he looked very pale. I sat next to him, wiping the sweat off. "why aren't you saying anything?" I yelled at the old man.

 

The doctor cleared his throat, "Pardon me, Luna. What I am trying to say is; the knife used to attack him had poison laced with it."

 

"Why did he not react since then?" I queried, wrapping my arms around Kyle.

 

"It's a slow poison; it damages the insides of its victim until their wolf becomes too weak to fight." He replied.

 

"That bastard, Wade!" I sobbed. "What can we do to save him now? Please save him."

 

"Don't worry, Luna. I will get him treated. I will be right back. I need to call my assistants." He said, walking out of the room.

 

Kyle groaned; he sounded like he was in utmost pain.
