Chapter Forty Seven

All I knew for certain was one of them was my friend and I couldn’t just leave him to get killed. I could still hear thuds and growls as I slowly stepped over broken tree limbs trying to keep myself hidden so I could have the upper hand of a surprise attack. I didn’t hear anymore thuds or sounds of them attacking each other as I came up to were I seen both of them moving slowly circling one another. Neither one looked like they were ready to back down any time soon teeth were still bared and low rumbling could still faintly be herd from both massive wolves. I took another step while crouched down but snapping branches under my feet gave me away.

Both wolves heads snapped in my direction two sets of glowing eyes were now fixed on me watching as I stood up straight. It was the black wolf that made a move in my direction. It’s silver eyes looked like moonlight so bright and clear as it’s posture softened no longer could I see it’s teeth but I could hear and see it’s breath in the ai
