I could see Renee hesitate, she looked scared and worried. I tried to give her time and not push. Part of me feared her answer. If he did anything else to her, I don't think I could stop myself from tracking him down and ripping his head off.

"Whatever it is, it won't change us." I state hoping to comfort her.

She opens her mouth to speak before closing it again, no sound coming out. I can see her take a deep breath her chest rising slightly. Then she looks into my eyes before finally speaking.
