Alpha Renee's POV I was shocked to see Ethan barreling towards me with no warning. I tried to mind link him but hit a wall. He was too close I didn't have time to dodge. Alpha Renee's POV "Alpha Renee speaking" I stated after picking up the office phone. "Yes, Renee this is Elder Chase, I called to inform you there was a rogue attack on Grey Lake." "How many causalities?" I responded "Luckily none, as of right now, but five are severely wounded, and a total of sixty three wounded in total." Alpha Renee's POV I just got back to the pack house from talking with Amber. She still wasn't sure what she was going to do and wouldn't hardly talk to me. I felt so sad for her, and I wished I could make this all less painful for her. Finding your mate should always be a good thing and I hated that it meant so much change for her. Alpha Renee's POV Esther handed me a knife so I could drop some blood into a bowl and Timothy did the same. Esther started chanting in a language that was foreign to me while she added different herbs to the bowl with our blood stirring it all together. To begin with I didn't feel anything, and she continued this process for a few minutes. Renee's POV I can't even properly describe the look of happiness on Timothy's face when he opened the door to find Amber placing her suitcase in the car that was waiting to take him to Grey Lake Pack. Renee's POV Ethan snapped awake next to me. "What's wrong are you ok?" His voice was still laced with sleepiness, but his eyes were wide as they took in my disheveled appearance. "I'm, ok" I reached to place a hand on his thigh in hopes of calming him down. "What happened, why are you so sweaty? Are you sick?" "I'm not sure and no I feel fine." Ethan's POV I felt exhausted after the fruitless hours spent in Esther's room this morning. I was frustrated with how much time was wasted and we didn't get a single answer. Other than it probably wasn’t a witch’s meddling, but that left me feeling even more uncomfortable.
