This closes out the month. There is a lot more to come with their journey. A little tidbit is that the next Fated book will be Blakely's. The next Destined book will be Zion's. Thank you for the amazing support that you've been showing me since 'Fated Rejection - Fated Claim.'
GRANT Dahlia had reached out to our parents regarding the information that we had gathered from Maxine when Angel interrogated her. Dahlia had originally told us that she would get back to us when she had something concrete to relay. Apparently, she found something concrete. Our parents sat down with Gabriel, Angel, and I so that they could relay what information had been gathered. Apparently, Maxine was being honest when it came to who got told about our pack. We had already altered the patrol schedules after interrogating her. Nightshade was already a beacon for those who sought power. Even before the Supernatural Council came into play, our pack was already one that drew idiots to it, seeking what was never theirs in the first place. The good news was that it took a while, but Dahlia was able to track down the Río de Fuego pack’s location. It took a lot of fucking effort, but she was able to hack into their pack’s server. That gave her a sneak peek into everything. Josef was th
ANGEL We were up early this morning because we wanted to make sure everything was in order. My mates went over to check on the rooms at the secondary packhouse while I made sure that the welcome breakfast was all set up in the convention center. Some of Shadow Falls, Dark Moon, and Coverstone would be joining us along with those we knew would be willing to fight with us from our pack. Something that I had always appreciated was how helpful everyone was with one another. Our packs and covens always had each other’s back. It was like the Three Musketeers – all for one and one for all. Elle and Mom were both helping organize everything. They had always been close because they came here from the same pack. Elle was younger than Mom and Dad, but that never stopped them from becoming close. She had actually saved Dad’s life one time. Look at where we were now. Our two families were forever entwined now. Kalen had called me up last night and asked if it was okay to bring someone special
JAXON My life had been one rollercoaster after another ever since I found out the truth of who and what I was. Mom was the sweetest person that you could have ever met. She was a unique type of witch who had access to powerful spirit magic. Not all who died moved onto the spirit realm within the realms of their creators and instead walked the Earth behind a normally invisible veil. Those who wielded her type of magic could see beyond that veil. Unfortunately, she died when I was fourteen. She was killed, but I never figured out who did it. After her death, I found a letter that she had written to me. In it, she told me the truth of who and what I was. Apparently, she knew who Hades was when they started their brief love affair. The source of spirit magic came from him. I wholeheartedly trusted Mom and knew that she would never lie to me, especially about something as important as this. I was Hades’ son. It had taken me a long time to wrap my head around what that meant. The most im
GRANT I was so damn proud of Angel. She captured everyone’s attention while she explained the situation to the room as a whole. It was direct and laid out the risks when it came to fighting but also when it came to not fighting. All in all, the Río de Fuego pack was a threat that we could not overlook. In the end, almost everyone signed up as fighters. Some were not fit to fight for whatever reason but still wanted to help out. This whole mate situation was absolutely amazing to witness. There ended up being a total of thirty mate-bonds snapping into place. Twelve of them were from the Dane’s pack. Seven of those were within Nightshade. Three were with Shadow Falls, and two were with Dark Moon. Jaxon and Sansa were another one. The rest were between our various packs. There were apparently quite a few who just turned eighteen because I knew some of them attended the academy together or visited the different packs during warrior rotations. Our packs often rotated warriors for a coup
GABRIEL We had our upcoming leadership meet us at the cells so that we would all be present for the torture – I meant the interrogation – of Sharice. Mom and Dad, along with their leadership, would be observing from behind the one-way mirror. That way they would still be officially present but would also be giving us space to take the lead on this. Angel was pushing a covered cart, instantly piquing my curiosity about what was underneath it. The intense emotions running through her made sense because she would never stand back and let someone take advantage of another, which was what Sharice had attempted to do. Sharice was in for one hell of a time if she decided to be stubborn like I was certain would end up happening. “What in the fuck is the human doing here?” Sharice demanded to know with a sneer. Holy shit. Not even two minutes into it, and she had already decided to piss us off. She apparently thought that she was better than Ryker because he was human. She was so fucking
ELLE I was incredibly proud of the young woman who would take over my title very shortly. It was amazing to see her in this light because it showed us all that she would be exactly what this pack needed to help keep it safe and help it thrive. Once Kade and I eventually stepped down from the Supernatural Council, which would not be happening any time soon, she would be perfect in conjunction with our sons to ensure that they did everything in their power to protect those we were charged with protecting. Her tactics with Maxine had been all that we talked about for days. This right here was turning out to be even better. I had reached out to Dante and Ziyah to see if they wanted to watch with us, and they showed up damn near immediately. Dante had a bowl of candy in his hands. “Holy shit. Sophia was legitimately a genius. I’ve seen her IQ scores. Could’ve easily revolutionized this entire world of ours. I’m definitely going to be getting the recipe for that lying serum,” Ziyah said
GRANT “What would you advise us to do? We verified that Kelsey Klein was from the Silver Creek pack. Aldan said that she had gone missing two years ago when she was fourteen. The family had hired Private Investigators and everything, but they never figured out what happened to her. We continued questioning Sharice until she gave us a location of where they hid her body. We ended up sending out a couple of trackers who did find her buried at that location,” I said, frowning with the thought of what happened. Sharice was a very fucked-up individual. It was so much worse than we had originally thought. Trafficking illegal potions, drugging, and engaging in sexual assault while the second party was incapable of giving consent. On top of that, she was responsible for someone’s death. I did not care what her reason was. If it was in self-defense, a situation where there was no possible alternative outcome, it might be a little more understandable. Nope. She was just a petty and jealous bit
ANGEL Goddess, please give us the words to be able to reach her family. ‘Speak from you heart, sweet one. It will reach them. I promise,’ I heard in response. I had not expected a response, but I appreciated her words so damn much. I clasped my hands together and cleared my throat. “What we are going to share with you today will be done with heavy hearts. I just hope that all of you know that you will have us in your corner. We will be here to support you as a family and as individuals.” I paused for a moment to let that sink in. “We apprehended someone from our pack. Interrogating her led to us finding out just how many sins she has committed. We came to realize that there was a connection between her and Kelsey. Before we get into everything, we want you to know that this woman will be trialed and sent to the Carceris Doloris prison. She will never be free again and will be punished for every single crime that she has committed.” The family was clearly taken aback by the fact th
