Dahlia's POV

When I pulled him outside into the small garden I had been going out into the past few days when I was with Rose, I could see the confusion in his eyes as we stepped out here.

I was nervous about shifting, worried that when he saw us he would look at us in a different light. Chris did. You could see it in his eyes that it seemed to upset him tremendously to see the size of me compared to his wolf.

Problem with being an Alpha female I guess, larger than a Beta because of the blood coursing through my veins. He had a huge problem with that, which makes me wonder now if that held one of the reasons he was able to cheat after we discovered we were mates.

Shaking off the thought I had turned my back to him so he would unzip my dress, explaining that I didn't want it to be shredded to pieces if I shifted in it. I liked the dress, but it was particularly because I hated the idea of ruining any of the clothes that Lottie had gone out of her way to get for me.
