Annoyed, frustrated, angry, betrayed. That didn’t even cover what I was feeling right now! I still couldn’t believe that I had been rejected and by a half-breed.

My heart felt like it had been torn into tiny pieces. She had barely been in my life and yet the breaking if my heart was making it feel like we had known each other forever. The girl I loved and despised was gone and with my pup.

What if the Alpha had been right? If I was mirroring Daphne’s emotions, then in a way, she rejected me because of herself. It was the only thing that made sense.

I head to Magnus’s gym, if I wasn’t allowed to leave the house then this was the next best thing. I needed to burn off the anger.

The gym wasn’t empty. Magnus was busy lifting weights. He stops as I push the door open and eyes me suspiciously. “Why are you here? This is private.”

“Orders,” I mutter, setting up a punch bag.

“My nephew has put orders on you? What the hell did you do?” He was even more curious now.

“My mate rejected me.”
