Chapter 41

Marienne's Pov

I don't know if I could say I felt devastated, it's been three days since the princes got a massage from Delaney. Ever since they informed me of Delaney's terms and condition for releasing the antidote of the poison, the feeling of fear washed over me.

I was scared of abandoning my mate, if this option came earlier I am sure I would have. But I am so in love with them, it's difficult having to choose my mother and letting go of them.

I cried all day and night for three days. I have refused to leave my room. The princes have given me the space I needed and I could tell they were angry too.

I heard a knock on my door this afternoon. By the scent coming from the door I could tell it was Juliet. I had dismissed her two days ago when she tried to drag me off my bed. And I had told her that her services were no longer needed as I felt so frustrated.
