FORTY ONE

       In the large sitting room of Dominic's home, he was sitting on the couch with Adelynn's head on his lap. He fondly stroked her hair as they watched the TV.

"Do you remember the first letter we wrote to each other?" Adelynn asked and he smiled. "Of course, I do" Dominic responded as he thought about how nervous he'd been to write the letter.

    At first, he'd thought that Adelynn wouldn't get the chance to read the letter because Jensen would always follow her wherever she went. Dominic had managed to sneak the letter into her locker.
