Daniel's p.o.v

I was taken aback.

Without losing time, I went to call the doctor and he came in a flash.

"Why is she behaving like this?"

My heart was pounding and I hoped for a positive answer.

"Mrs. Anderson, how are you feeling?"

The doctor ignored me and went straight towards Linda.

"I- I can't- why can't I see anything?" She asked with a shaky voice.

"Sir, you will have to wait outside. We need to do some check ups."

I hesitated at first but then I went outside and leaned against the white wall with my palm covering my face. Complicating things was not going to help.

I hoped what I was thinking was not true. She had already suffered a lot and I did not want her to endure agony anymore. I needed to ask for forgiveness. The guilt inside of me was brutally murdering me. I was wrong. Totally wrong. How could I even do something like that? I treated her like trash. My thoughts were preoccupied by the times when I insulted her.
