Chapter 22

A few hours had passed by and Emma was still locked up in the basement. She had cried all through the day making her eyes red and dry completely. Her screams could be heard all the way up towards the kitchen. Sarah felt pity and sadness for her. Damien had left the house hours ago and she and the rest of the other staffs were prohibited from going down to the basement to save her. Miles had asked about his sister and Sarah had to lie about Emma accompanying Damien out for work.

She later tucked him to sleep so as he couldn't hear her screams. The other staffs were also worried for the poor girl and the state that she's in right now. Suddenly her screams and cries were slowing down and fading away slowly. Eventually her voice died down. Sarah became anxious and extremely worried not hearing her voice again. She feared for Emma's life and rushed towards the basement. She knew the basement hadn't been used in years and many insects and bugs were present there.
