“Grace?” Xander inquired again, feeling my tense body.

“I…” I tried to speak but I choked up, I couldn’t do this, not when he was looking at me with this affection.

He was still inside me, and telling him that I didn’t want his mark would be a heartless move.

I can’t do that, not when I just started something with Xander.

It could be friendship or something new.

But I didn’t want to dwell further than that, I would not fall deep in the water head first, without knowing that it was safe.

Life was all about learning from past mistakes and I won’t repeat the same cycle.

My first mistake in my relationship with Logan was that I preened at every compliment he showered me with, I fell head over heels for him, without even realizing that he was only using me for the title.
