Chapter 56 A Stranger

“h*ll, Good Morning,” I answered the call more chirpily than usual.

A lot of things were changing in my life and for the better. This change was a welcome one and after so long I was happy, really happy, and not faking for the sake of my father.

I miss my mother sometimes, thinking that she would have been so happy to see me happy with Xander and happy to see how I was able to defeat those witchy mother daughter duo.

I should have felt bad for Daniel, but I was smug, thinking about his pale face when he saw Emma’s real face in the video.

And now everything I fought for was mine. My position. My mate. My Xander.

I smiled thinking about Xander.

“You seem different,” Daisy questioned.

“What nonsense, I'm your old crazy Grace,” I answered.

“You are crazy, no doubt, but you are not that old Grace.” she chuckled.

“Oh, that’s what you think. Would you care to explain why you think so?” I asked her while heading out to the new office building that Xander gave to me.
