CHAPTER 43

XANDER

It was past one in the afternoon when I arrived home.

"Why you're back early?" Harold rushed to me when I stepped inside the front door, and I could see worries in her eyes. He was used to me being home around six in the afternoon when I was still living with them, and it was the first time I came home at this hour.

"Nothing happened, Harold. I only have an important thing to do. Where's Aunty Amara?"

"She's cleaning your room."

"Ah, okay. I go to my room. I have something to ask her."

"Have you eaten your lunch?"

"I eat already, Harold. Thank you." I went to the elevator that would bring me to the next floor with a pounding heart.

Aunt Amara is fixing my bed when I reach my door, and even though the door is open, I knock to avoid startling her. Before, only Harold cleaned my room, but now that Cassandra knows about my identity, Andrea and Aunty Amara alternately clean my room, whoever has free time.
