“Tina. Long time no see.” Flora gave me a side hug. The dark bags under her eyes were more evident than usual. Humming, I nodded.

It had actually been a while since I last had a talk with Flora. She was always busy with that jock who didn't care about her.

She was just stuck in a toxic relationship.

“How have you been?” she smiled weakly, the once usual shiny aura dulling with time.

“Great. You?”

“I’m.. okay.” She hesitantly spoke while fidgeting with her fingers. “I-” Sighing, she leaned back on the bench, closing her eyes. “-I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry f..for ignoring you. I’m sorry for not talking to you.”

“Don't worry, Flora. No need to say sorry. You must have your reasons.” I replied, whilst staring at our class who busy playing basketball on the school grounds. “No. I am sorry. I’m such a shitty friend.”

She grabbed my hand and placed it on her lap, her fingers intervened with mine. “Les, I’m really really sorry.”
