All of my life, I stayed away from people thinking if I ever got close to them, they would get hurt.

Boy, I was right.

Father died infront of my own eyes. His men that came to find me were shot dead in an unknown valley. Mother didn't care about me. Ares is god knows where or maybe dead?

I hissed under my breath. “Ugh, nuisance.”

“Got something to say, Miss Vidal? mind telling the whole class?” Our lab instructor cocked an eyebrow at me. Giving him a forced grin, I shook my head, “just thinking that you could look even more decent if you'd stop wearing those huge sponge bob specs.”

Instantly the whole class erupted into laughter whilst I could see a trail of red steam coming out of his ears. “Out, Vidal.”

“Oh please. I’ve heard this sentence a millions time. Try something new and I’ll gladly leave.” Leaning back, I checked out my fresh flowery manicure that was done by Flora herself, a few hours earlier.

“Should I call your mother?” he gritted out as he adjusted those hideous specs. “
