Adam's words really struck a chord with me, pushing me to gather the courage to apologize to Rue. His honesty and concern for Rue had been a wake-up call for me.

After saying sorry to Rue, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders and I woke up earlier than usual the next day.

Of course, the first thing I did was to message my mother and ask about my kids. I even left them a voice message.

“Just let me,” I insisted.

Even before she could agree, I already stood beside her and joined in her cooking session. She then sighed, giving up. “Alright. Whatever you please.”
