Chapter one hundred and sixty seven

AMELIA’s POV…

“You’re stressed, come with me.” He told me as he led me back to my room.

As he helped me sit on the bed, I raised my head to him. “I’m serious about it, though, Alaric.” I told him as I recalled being unable to do anything even when Lilly was being taken away from me and nothing hurt and made me feel more useless than that.

“You’ve run out of water, I’ll go get some for you.” He told me as he took the jug.

Just as he was about to leave, I grabbed his hand, causing him to turn back to me as he smiled.

“You’re trying to avoid the conversation, aren’t you? I know you think….” He didn’t even let me finish speaking, before again, he put his hand over my mouth, having me lay on my back as he smirked.

“I’ll go get the water, and then we’ll talk.” He said and without even giving me the chance to say anything else, he walked out of the room.

I looked down and looking down, I started to feel a certain weird sensation in my chest. I placed my hand to my chest as I closed my eyes.
