Chapter one hundred and sixty six

AMELIA’s POV…

“D…die? If I die?” I got off the bed as I turned away from him. “You’re talking nonsense. Powers, me having to die for them, the…:” I looked down at my stomach, and then recalled Lilly. “I can’t die, no. You’re speaking rubbish. You must be mistaken. Your drugs must be getting to you.” I told him but even as I tried to convince myself with my words, I could still feel myself shaking from within.

I felt like he was right and I could actually die if care wasn’t taken. I swallowed as I looked down at my stomach. What were these powers? I had always known something was off and I just didn’t have ordinary instincts that were able to detect when danger was looming, but I never really paid attention to that, and now, I had to die to be able to protect my child? What nonsense was that?
