CHAPTER 29~WHERE AM I?

I am not sure if it was the voices in my dream that woke me up—I soon found out that the voices weren’t in my dream but from somewhere around me—Or if it was the stench of Alpha Pheromones that attacked my nose and senses as soon as I gained consciousness.

All I know is that both factors dragged me out of my slumber and I was welcomed with a teeth-grinding headache as soon as I peeled my eyes open. A whimper escaped me as the brightness of the room instantly blinded me.

My eyes closed out of reflex, and a wince fell from my mouth as I made a pitiful attempt to turn away from the blinding light. Despite how soft the surface I slept on was, every bone and muscle in my body cried out in protest as I tried to move on my side.

’Lev, are you there?’ My hands felt heavy, and my head felt like it would fall off if I lifted it. But I needed to do that, or at least stay awake, to know the situation I’ve gotten myself in.

‘Lev?’ I tried again, and this time I got a deep groan in response.
