Chapter 11

The three stayed out playing by the lake for what seemed like hours. The sun was beginning to set when Marissa came to the lake, “ Prince Yale, Your parents are requesting the three of you come to get washed up for dinner.”

Yale smiled, “ Okay, thank you, Marissa.”

“ Ms. Jenna, please come with me. I will help you get ready.” Marissa smiled sweetly as she spoke to Jenna, but Jenna felt uneasy as they all walked inside.

“ You are very beautiful for a human,” Marissa said as she complimented Jenna and followed her up the stairs.

Jenna smiled awkwardly, “ Umm..thank you.” She said as she shrugged.

Marissa laughed as she watched Jenna falter for words, “ We are going to get you into a bath. I’ve already prepared the water, so it’s the perfect temperature. Afterward, we can re-braid your hair. The queen has laid out three dresses that belong to Yale’s sister, Adleigh, that she would like you to choose from.” Marissa said she led the way, but Jenna smiled wearily; she wasn’t much of a fancy
