Author's POV

After Xander left, Archer went straight to Xevia, who was in the glass room. Arriving there, he found Xevia sitting sweetly facing a large window from a height that showed a view of the surrounding tall buildings. The sky was cloudless, but the sun had not yet reached its zenith, and its light reflected on the river's water that flowed and split this great city into two halves.

It was a beautiful sight.

"What are you thinking about?" chirped Arch, breaking Xevia's reverie.

The woman turned her head and saw her handsome brother-in-law.

"Arch, since when are you here?"

"You look pale. Are you okay?" asked Archer.

"I'm fine," said Xevia while holding back the discomfort in her stomach.

"Are you sure?" Archer couldn't just believe her words. Because before leaving earlier, his brother had told him everything about what Xevia had done the day before. About her attempt to escape by crossing the artificial lake behind Xander's house.
