Patrick's POV

"Wha- what are you doing here?" I asked, my voice coming out quieter than expected. My mom stared at me, a confused look on her face.

"Patrick, are you okay? You look..." I cut her off.

"It's okay Mom. I'm fine. Could you please excuse us?" I asked, impatient to see her leave the room.

"O-okay. " She stuttered and left, glancing at us out. Once I was sure she was gone, I hurried towards her.

"How did you find me!?" I asked, my voice stern. She only smiled smugly.

"You didn't think you'd hide forever, did you? With what you did?" She asked, contempt lacing her words.

"Just how? " I repeated.

"I did my homework, Patrick. Although I have to commend you, you were really smart for not telling anymore you were moving till you disappeared. It took a lot of time to track you but finally, I did and... Here I am."
