Chapter 32

Sylvia's POV

(Three Days later)

I stared at myself in the mirror, combing out my hair. Yesterday was eventful, even with the bad news. I smiled as I remembered how Patrick and I talked way into the night and the kiss he stole before I left. Although I couldn't help but worry about the girl who came earlier and the threat she made. I had asked Patrick if he knew her but he just shrugged it off, not wanting to talk about it.

Sighing softly, I arranged my bags and picked up my school bag, walking out of my room.

"Mom, I'll be on my way now," I called out as I got to the living room.

"Wait... Won't you have breakfast?" She asked, peeking out of her room, still tired. When I got home yesterday she was still making sweaters. I hurriedly grabbed a banana.

"That'll do," I replied, smiling. " Bye now. See you later."

"You too dear."
