“I am losing you. Ain't I?”

The next morning Carmen slowly opened her eyes, and yet she wished that she had one more hour of sleep.

She lied in bed feeling empty as she listened to the silence in her room, and even though it was just the start of the day, Carmen already wanted it to come to an end.

She turned her head to the left and sadly gazed at the spare pillow, then her lips curved into a frown.

“Good morning, Carmen.” She whispered to herself.

With a heavy heart, Carmen dragged herself out of bed and headed towards her closet.

She got a hold of a white pencil skirt, a silky silver v-neck blouse, and a black blazer. Feeling satisfied with her choice, Carmen headed back to the bed and dump the clothes on it.

‘I hope that my outfit will be to Liam's taste today because I don't have the energy to exchange hurtful words with him.’ Carmen thought as she left for the bathroom.
