CHAPTER 51: THE DARKNESS

"And you didn't even call me?" Monica immediately nagged at me as soon as I stepped my foot inside the house.

Her left arm is on her hip while the other keeps on making uncoordinated motions in the air and throwing me her glare.

"If something comes up that raises a red flag, the very first person to know every single detail is Monica Allen. Me. Your sister. And nobody else. Just me," she croaked.

Pointing her index finger at her chest.

"Do you know how worried I was when I got home and I couldn't find you anywhere and you didn't even try making any effort to call me?"

"I'm sorry, okay?" Gesturing my hands to her that she should calm down.

"Sorry isn't enough, you're going to clean the whole house."

"What?" Massaging my forehead, I groaned silently. "Eric knows everything."
