Chapter Forty Seven

I slipped the dress on, it felt so soft against my skin. The dressing room was much bigger than I had thought. The dressmaker zipped up the back and when I saw myself in the mirror, I knew I was in love with this dress.

"I think I have the perfect finishing touch for you," the woman said as she darted out of the dressing room. She came back a few minutes later with a crown made of flowers. As she placed it on my head, I felt like it completed not only the dress but my hopes for the ceremony. I turned to the side and then to the other side, it was perfect. It reminded me of something you would wear if you were a fairy princess flying through a field of wildflowers.

"We are coming out," the woman called to the twins. "Close your eyes, this has to be a surprise."

I walked out with the woman holding the back of the dress up. When I stepped onto the platform surrounded by mirrors, I nearly cried. I looked stunning, it was as if this dress had been made for me. The fact that I was barefoo
