Chapter 22

After a good 15 minutes, I had finally got myself into the large dress he had laid out.

Although it was beautiful, it made me feel as if I was the queen of the underworld and that wasn't exactly the title I was looking for.

None the less, it would hopefully help keep him distracted.

Lining my lips with the dark red lipstick he left out, I took one last look in the small mirror before stepping out and making my way towards the long table he currently was sitting at.

"You look even more beautiful than I expected. Come sit next to me." he states standing up with a smile as he took me in with his eyes.

"Thank you." I smiled accepting his hand and letting me guide me to the chair.

He sat back down next to me before pouring us both a glass of what looked like red wine.

"Let's toast, to a new beginning." he states raising his glass.

Raising my glass, I toasted with him, making sure to put my best acting skills forth.
