Chapter 23

I woke up well rested but also disappointed.

The one time I wanted a dream with a God was the one night I didn't.

Letting out a small sigh, I got out of the bed and took an outfit from the closet that to my surprise was fully loaded with clothing in my size before showering and getting dressed for the day.

I cautiously left my room, venturing through the halls and stairways, making sure to memorize them all while also looking for an exit.

Pushing through the largest, heaviest of doors I had stepped outside to utter darkness. The only light came from flames surrounding the outside of the doors.

A small path, nearly impossible to notice, lead away from the building and I began to follow it before it brought me to a platform that surrounding it was 5 different rivers, each separated by thin barriers and each looking much different than the other.
