Chapter 36: Video Call.

“Laura, how are you doing?” James said with a dimpled smile as he tilted his laptop screen upwards. With the sight of the towel around his slim but strong waist obstructed, Laura finally snapped out of her daze.

“Did you just get out of the shower?” Laura asked as she swallowed her saliva. For the first time, she was happy about her impatience. She was still thinking about the mermaid line that tapered down and disappeared beneath the towel he had on.

“Yeah, give me a moment,” James said and walked back to the bathroom to get himself a towel to towel dry his still dripping wet hair. Laura silently watched his tall figure that gradually got further away before disappearing behind what she assumed to be the bedroom door.
