Chapter 35

Doctor Clara and Sheila waited a few more hours after she was done treating Sheila’s wounds for Hamilton and his men to show up but still no sign of them.

“I do not think he is coming, Clara,” Sheila said, turning her gaze from the front door to Clara.

Clara glanced at her wrist watch to check how many hours had passed and realized that they had been waiting anxiously for Hamilton and his men for over four hours. She cannot believe that he would just let them go just like that and this made her even more uneasy but tried to control her uneasiness in order not to get Sheila affected.

She was looking more relaxed than some moments ago and a bit sleepy too and she guessed that it was from the injection she gave her because of her wounds.

Clara lifted her gaze to Sheila who was still lying on the bed from where she was seated on the chair next to her bed as she heard Sheila yawning. “You can go ahead and sleep now, I will just watch a little longer.” she told Sheila.
