LUCA’S POV
I put the last item I purchased into the fridge.
I had gone grocery shopping because suddenly I had enough time. No, I hadn’t been fired or rather I didn’t think so.
After lunch break Williams had called me into his office and just said “Take the rest of the day” he hadn’t looked up from his documents or given an explanation, I really was tempted to ask, but I was scared the answer will shatter years of work and I’ll be damned if I allowed that.
That was why I had nodded, returned to my office, took out the most important file for the meeting he had today and left.
I was still waiting for the call, I look at my watch and see it was just 3, 2 more hours to 5 for the meeting.
I knew the secretary will have to get it ready by 4 at the latest, so probably by 4:30 I should be called back and then I would prove that the office can’t do with me.
